Dubai — This November, Dubai is set to raise the global hospitality benchmark once again with the launch of Ciel Dubai Marina, the world’s tallest hotel. A Landmark Development in Dubai Marina

Ciel is being developed by The First Group and designed by NORR Group Architects under the direction of Yahya Jan. The hotel will be part of IHG Hotels & Resorts’ Vignette Collection, aligning with Dubai’s strategy of pairing architectural spectacle with global hospitality brands. Its slender glass façade and reflective surfaces are intended to make it instantly recognizable on the Marina skyline.

“We are extremely proud to see our vision for Ciel Dubai Marina come to life in such an iconic location, with unbeatable views of the Arabian Gulf and Dubai skyline,” said Rob Burns, CEO of The First Group.

Rooms Suites and Rates

The tower will contain around 1,004 rooms, including over 140 suites. Interiors feature a modern minimalist aesthetic with floor-to-ceiling windows, offering sweeping views of the Marina, Palm Jumeirah, and the Gulf.

Reservations are already available on IHG’s booking platforms for stays from 15 November 2025. Launch rates start at approximately AED 1,900–2,000 (about €500) per night for standard rooms, while suites command higher prices depending on size, category, and seasonality. This positions Ciel firmly within Dubai’s luxury bracket but keeps it competitive with five-star hotels in the Marina district.

Record-Breaking Features

Beyond its sheer height, Ciel is designed as a destination in itself. Key amenities include:

  • Infinity pool on the 76th floor, expected to be the highest in the world
  • Signature dining and sky lounges across the upper levels with panoramic views
  • Wellness and spa facilities, including a sky-level health club
  • Multiple restaurants and nightlife venues, blending international cuisine with Dubai’s entertainment scene

Some details, such as a dedicated observation deck, remain under wraps, but the project is clearly positioned to attract not just overnight guests but also day visitors seeking unique experiences.

Tourism Context and Market Edge

Ciel’s debut comes at a moment of strength for Dubai’s hospitality sector. The city welcomed 18.72 million international overnight visitors in 2024, according to the Department of Economy and Tourism, and expectations for 2025 are even higher.

“The highly anticipated November opening of Ciel Dubai Marina — set to become the world’s tallest all-hotel tower — is the pinnacle of our vision for the Vignette Collection,” said Haitham Mattar, Managing Director of IHG Hotels & Resorts for West Asia, Middle East and Africa.

With its record-breaking height, Ciel will have a clear marketing advantage in a crowded luxury landscape, offering a headline attraction that sets it apart from its competitors.

Architecture as Branding

Dubai has a long history of using architecture to project its global image. The Burj Al Arab became an international symbol of luxury hospitality, while the Burj Khalifa secured Dubai’s place as home to the tallest tower on Earth. Ciel now aims to give Dubai Marina its own emblem — a sleek, vertical landmark that blends accommodation with spectacle.

High-altitude dining, a rooftop infinity pool, and sky-level wellness facilities ensure that the tower is not just another hotel but a multi-layered destination. Its appeal extends beyond travelers to business executives, design enthusiasts, and day visitors eager for panoramic views.

Countdown to Opening

The official opening is scheduled for November 2025, with bookings already underway for mid-month stays. Once operational, Ciel is expected to receive Guinness World Records recognition as the tallest hotel on Earth.

With more than a thousand rooms, a height of 377 metres, and amenities designed to break records, Ciel is poised to join Dubai’s hall of fame in architectural innovation. For international travelers, executives, and design lovers, it promises not just a stay but an immersive vertical experience that turns hospitality into spectacle.
