SANTA CLARA, CALIFORNIA — Nvidia is rapidly scaling its physical footprint in Silicon Valley as part of a long-term strategy to support its dominance in AI infrastructure and next-generation computing, with property investments now exceeding €670 million ($700 million). As the AI boom intensifies, the semiconductor powerhouse is acquiring key real estate near its Santa Clara headquarters to support long-term growth in artificial intelligence and advanced computing.
€114M Business Park Deal Marks Latest Expansion
In May 2025, Nvidia acquired a 13-acre office and industrial park in Santa Clara for €114 million ($123 million) in an all-cash deal. The site includes 10 buildings totaling 23,300 square meters (251,000 square feet) of office and flex space along Walsh Avenue—minutes from its headquarters.
The acquisition strengthens Nvidia’s operational capacity and provides room for future data centers, R&D labs, or AI infrastructure.
Over €670M Invested Since 2024
This latest purchase follows a major 2024 transaction in which Nvidia bought its own Santa Clara headquarters campus for €347 million ($373 million). That acquisition included eight office buildings and entitlements for up to 186,000 square meters (2 million square feet) of new development.
In December 2024, Nvidia also leased a 9,400-square-meter (101,600-square-foot) office and research facility at 300 Holger Way in North San Jose, further expanding its regional presence.
Together, these moves push Nvidia’s total South Bay real estate investment beyond €670 million ($700 million).
Real Estate Strategy Powers AI Ambitions
Nvidia’s aggressive buying spree reflects its strategy to scale alongside rising global demand for AI computing and semiconductors. By securing property close to its HQ, the company ensures operational efficiency and scalability.
“These acquisitions align with Nvidia’s mission to lead the AI revolution—not just technologically, but physically,” said a Bay Area commercial real estate analyst. “They’re building the foundation for the next decade of innovation.”
Ripple Effect on Local Economy and Jobs
Nvidia’s expansion is reshaping the South Bay market. Experts say these high-value acquisitions are lifting commercial real estate prices and sparking interest from other investors and developers.
Thousands of jobs—ranging from engineers and researchers to construction and logistics roles—are expected to result from this growth wave.
Investing in the AI Infrastructure Era
As Nvidia continues to lead global AI development, its real estate strategy underlines a bold vision: turning Silicon Valley from a chipmaking center into the backbone of the AI economy.
With over €670 million already deployed and more deals likely ahead, Nvidia’s transformation from chips to campuses is well underway.
